Release date: 2026-05-15 Company News

May 14, 2026At the "CIBF2026 Shenzhen - Next-Generation Battery Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Exchange Conference for Electric Aviation"Thematic Forum: Innovation and Breakthroughs in Aviation Battery TechnologyAt the event, Gong Jingbo, Vice General Manager and General Manager of Marketing Center of Enpower, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Practice and Prospect of Solid-State Batteries Empowering the Low-Altitude Economy." Gong Jingbo pointed out that as the low-altitude economy enters the eve of large-scale and commercial explosion, high-performance and high-safety dedicated power batteries have become the key engine for industrial development. Enpower, with its long-term deep cultivation in the field of solid-state batteries and differentiated product layout, is taking the lead in achieving breakthroughs in this high-value track.
演讲1

(Gong Jingbo, Deputy General Manager and Marketing Center General Manager of Enpower)
With the low-altitude economy poised for takeoff, power batteries are facing core demands for specialization and high performance.
Gong Jingbo systematically elaborated on the development trends of China's low-altitude economy. He pointed out that the industry is currently showing three clear trends: "policy-driven commercial operation," "market scaling up," and "diversified application scenarios." At the policy level, airspace management is moving towards specialization and legalization, aiming to systematically resolve the core contradictions in the industry's long-term development. At the market level, the low-altitude economy is reaching a critical juncture of scaling up.

However, the market boom has placed unprecedentedly stringent demands on the "heart" of aircraft—the battery. Gong Jingbo emphasized that the logic of consumer-grade batteries can no longer support the future of industrial-grade drones. In diverse scenarios such as logistics delivery, emergency rescue, and urban air mobility (eVTOL), batteries must achieve comprehensive improvements in energy density, power output, safety and reliability, wide temperature range adaptability, and cycle life to address the core pain points of industrial drones in terms of range, payload, availability, and total life cycle cost.

Enpower has proven its ability to deliver at scale, from battery cells to full-stack system customization.
To address these pain points, Enpower has established a complete customized development and delivery capability, from battery cells to battery PACK systems. Gong Jingbo explained that the company has established close cooperation with several leading eVTOL and top industrial drone manufacturers, enabling it to provide end-to-end solutions, from cell chemistry system selection to battery system structure design, tailored to the specific needs of each model.

The most representative example is the cooperation with Fengyi Technology. In 2025, Fengyi Technology's ARK80 logistics drone, equipped with Enpower's high-performance battery system, successfully obtained its Type Certificate (TC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The dedicated battery system, jointly developed by both parties, has achieved routine operation capabilities with a 50 kg payload and a 100 km range, fully validating its reliability, safety compliance, and engineering feasibility under extreme conditions. This battery system has helped the drone achieve a significant increase in full-load range of over 40%.

Targeting the "narrow gate," we will achieve the industrialization of solid-state batteries in a step-by-step manner and build a leading advantage in the vertical field.
Regarding the much-discussed industrialization path of solid-state batteries, Gong Jingbo shared Enpower's unique thinking and practices. He cited industry insights, pointing out that solid-state batteries will not first see explosive growth in the largest markets (such as electric vehicles), but will first achieve breakthroughs in scenarios most sensitive to performance-value density. To this end, Enpower has formulated a clear three-step strategy:Semi-solid-quasi-solid-all-solidSemi-solid and quasi-solid-state batteries are already in mass production, while all-solid-state batteries, the company's ultimate goal, are currently in the pilot production stage and are expected to begin small-batch application in the second half of 2026. In terms of market strategy, Enpower adheres to the concept of "focusing on a narrow market segment." The company plans to first...Drones, robots, high-end electric motorcyclesThe company aims to establish an absolute leading advantage in high-growth vertical sectors that are extremely sensitive to battery performance and can demonstrate technological premiums, thus building a "dual moat" of technology and market dominance. Based on this, it anticipates entering the massive mainstream new energy vehicle market around 2030, once production capacity, costs, and the supply chain have further matured.

Globalization layout and capacity planning
To support this strategy, Enpower has established R&D and production capabilities in multiple locations, building a global innovation network. According to the company's plan, by 2030, its global battery production capacity will reach 40GWh to meet the full-scale boom of the low-altitude economy and the solid-state battery industry.

In his concluding remarks, Gong Jingbo stated that the blueprint for the low-altitude economy is unfolding, and solid-state batteries will be a key element in depicting this blueprint. Enpower will collaborate with industry partners through continuous technological innovation and a clear commercialization path to accelerate the arrival of the electric aviation era.
