On March 12, the OFweek 2026 (10th) Power Battery Industry Annual Conference Solid State Battery Special Session was held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Wu Zhongyou, Dean of the Research Institute of Beijing Enli Power Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech entitled "The Industrialization Path and Practice of Solid State Batteries". He analyzed the development logic of solid state batteries from an industry perspective, shared Enli Power's industrialization achievements in the sulfide route, and demonstrated the company's forward-looking insights and technical strength in this field.

A wave of industrial transformation is sweeping across the country, and solid-state batteries are charting a new industrial blueprint.


Solid-state batteries represent a strategic high ground in global energy technology competition and a core direction for overcoming technological bottlenecks in the new energy industry. Currently, trillion-dollar emerging markets such as drones, eVTOL, and robots are rapidly expanding, while traditional sectors like electric two-wheelers continue to upgrade their demands. The market's requirements for power batteries—including energy density, safety, fast charging capabilities, and temperature adaptability—are becoming increasingly stringent, and existing technologies are struggling to meet these requirements. Solid-state batteries, with their core advantages of high energy density, intrinsic safety, ultra-fast charging, and wide temperature range, have become an inevitable choice for industrial upgrading.

 

Many countries around the world have incorporated solid-state batteries into their core development strategies. Due to their high ionic conductivity and excellent processability, sulfide systems have become the industry's recognized preferred route for the industrialization of all-solid-state batteries.


Eight years of dedicated work on the sulfide route, a tiered strategy guides industrialization practices.

Enli Power has been deeply involved in the sulfide all-solid-state battery field for 8 years, achieving breakthroughs in the entire technology chain from core materials to mass production. The company has made significant breakthroughs in key technologies such as solid-state interface coating and lithium metal anode protection. The room temperature ionic conductivity of the sulfide solid electrolyte exceeds 10-2 s/cm. The company has solved the industry problem of solid-solid interface contact through controllable particle size and in-situ self-filling technology.

 

From niche markets like drones, robots, and electric motorcycles to future electric vehicles, Enli Power has built a comprehensive product matrix based on three major platforms: Swift (semi-solid-state), Fleet (quasi-solid-state), and Kosmos (all-solid-state). This matrix addresses the diverse performance requirements of different customers, including energy density, rate performance, temperature range, cycle life, and validation time, creating differentiated evolution paths. Enli Power has not only achieved mass production of semi-solid-state batteries with energy densities of 300-400Wh/kg, but has also successfully developed lithium metal quasi-solid-state batteries with energy densities exceeding 525Wh/kg. Its 10Ah-class all-solid-state soft-pack cells have also successfully entered the pilot production stage.

Currently, Enli Power's battery cells have been commercially applied in fields such as drones, robots, and high-end electric motorcycles. The company has become one of the world's top three suppliers of battery cells for industrial drones and has established specific cooperation agreements with many leading customers. Its technology and products have gained high recognition in the international market. In the future, Enli Power will continue to focus on the research and development and process iteration of core technologies for sulfide all-solid-state batteries, accelerating the commercialization process of all-solid-state batteries.
